Consulting has a reputation for producing documents nobody reads. We try to end an engagement with something narrower and more useful: a short list of decisions, each with a cost, a risk and a recommendation attached.

How a review runs

• Understand the business first. What the organisation does, where the money and the delays are, and what has already been tried.
• Look at the real system. The running code, the database, the servers and the deployment process — not just the architecture diagram.
• Talk to the people using it. Staff working around a system every day know exactly where it hurts.
• Write it down plainly. Findings ranked by impact, with what it costs to fix and what it costs to ignore.
• Agree the roadmap. A sequence your own team can deliver, with the quick wins first.

Build, buy or leave it alone

Not every problem needs new software. Sometimes the honest answer is to configure what you already own, retire a system nobody uses, or wait a quarter. When custom development genuinely is the answer, we will tell you what it will take — and we are happy for another vendor to build it if that suits you better.
